We offer not to spend a fortune on gifts, but to please the dearest people with an incredibly tasty and beautiful dish that will cost you a couple of eggs, a few glasses of flour and water. Let's start with hearty baking options - spinach pancakes with fish, pea pancakes with fried onions and pancakes stuffed with minced meat.
These vibrant, spring grass-colored pancakes can be made with either fresh or frozen spinach. Pancakes can be cooked in water, milk, kefir or yogurt. We will also need a heart-shaped cookie cutter, smoked salmon or other salted red fish, curd cheese.
Pancake Ingredients:
2 cups flour egg salt to taste 2-3 handfuls of fresh spinach or a glass of ice cream kefir, flour or water vegetable oil for frying
Filling Ingredients:
100 g smoked or salted red fish 80 g curd cheese Lemon and herbs for garnish (optional)
Step 1. Prepare the dough. Pour the flour into a large and tall bowl. Beat in the egg, add salt and mix. Then enter the liquid - kefir, milk or water. Add half a cup and mix well with a whisk. The dough on kefir should turn out like thick sour cream. Dough on water or milk - like liquid sour cream. Then we introduce spinach into the dough, one by one, breaking each portion with an immersion blender.
Step 2 Grease a hot frying pan with vegetable oil using a cooking brush. You can wash the potato, cut it in half, put it on a fork and grease the pan with oil with such a “device”. Spread 3/4 ladleful of batter over the hot skillet; rotate the pan on weight. Fry the pancake on one side until the dough sets. Then, using a thin spatula, turn over to the other side and fry for another 20-30 seconds.
Step 3. Stack the finished pancakes on a plate, brushing each pancake with butter. In this form, spinach pancakes can already be served. They are good with sour cream! You can wrap any "serious" filling in them - minced meat fried with onions, fried mushrooms, grated cheese. But we will make hearts out of them and serve them with fish!
Step 4. Pancakes turned out bright green on one side, brown on the other. Choose your side (as the English would say). Take cookie cutters. It can be hearts, fish, cars, or just a glass, along the contour of which you cut circles.
Step 5. Cut out pancake hearts - three for each serving of the snack. Just cut the fish into strips with a knife. By the way, a pancake with a heart-hole can be served with sauce or sour cream. Love can "pierce" even pancakes!
Step 6. We form our pancake treat. Lubricate the heart with curd cheese and lay out a thin piece of salmon, then cover with another heart and repeat the procedure again. From above, simply lay out the cut out pancake without any manipulation. Ready!
