Diabetes is a very dangerous and insidious disease. Adherence to a special diet and an active lifestyle help control blood sugar levels and safely avoid complications. It is especially difficult to follow a diet at first, but it is even more difficult not to break loose during the holidays, when the risk of temptation is high. How to survive mass "feasts" without risking your health and at the same time fully enjoy life, we'll talk further.

Ideal option for cold dishes: vegetable salad with lemon dressing; vegetables steamed or stewed in tomato sauce, lean ham, jellied fish or meat.
From the first courses - any vegetarian soups, okroshka, lean cabbage soup.

Alcohol is a prohibited product. Occasionally, you can treat yourself to a couple of glasses of good quality dry red wine. Tea and coffee - without sugar, freshly squeezed natural citrus juices, vegetable and fruit fruit drinks, water.
Council number 4. Sauces and spices - spice up your favorite dish.
Sprinkle a slice of charcoal-roasted turkey with spicy herbs. Or sprinkle with fragrant ketchup. Only the choice of the latter must be approached very carefully. If the sauce is made by hand, then there are no questions. And you should take a closer look at the finished product: the composition should not contain either starch or sugar. For example, such a product is in the line of the brand "Maheev" - ketchup "Tomato" without sugar and starch.

Most importantly, you must remember that diabetes is not a death sentence. It's a way of life. He bursts in suddenly, but a balanced diet and physical activity are his main enemies. Life is one, and you should not miss the slightest chance to enjoy it to the fullest.
