Most of us choose all sorts of dishes from meat, fish, dairy products, eggs as treats. But what about those who limit themselves in the use of these products or completely abandoned them, as well as fasting?

This is definitely not a reason to deprive yourself of a holiday, because dishes made from herbal ingredients are surprisingly diverse, amazingly tasty and spectacular.

We offer you several recipes for lean treats that are perfect for a feast.

1. Potato casserole

As a main dish, you can serve a hearty potato casserole with mushroom filling.

To prepare it, you will need the following:

large potatoes - 6 pcs., flour - 1 tbsp., mushrooms - 300-400 g, onions - 2 pcs., soy sauce - 3 tbsp. l., vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. l.

Cut the onion into half rings and lightly fry it in vegetable oil, add the mushrooms, cut into pieces, and bring the filling to readiness, at the end of cooking, pour in 1 tbsp. soy sauce and boil it off.

Grate the peeled potatoes on a coarse grater and in a deep bowl combine it with flour and 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce.

Spread half of the potato mass on the bottom of the prepared form, put the mushroom filling on top and cover it with the remaining potatoes.

Bake potato casserole in an oven preheated to 200-220 degrees for 50-60 minutes.

2. Potato mushrooms

Another unusual and memorable dish can be prepared from potatoes - Potato Mushrooms.

Ingredients:

potatoes - 5-6 pcs., vegetable oil - to taste, salt and pepper - to taste

Wash the tubers thoroughly without peeling the skin. And then make an even cut about a centimeter thick in a circle of each potato. After that, remove the peel from the part of the potato where the “leg” of the mushroom will be and give the pulp the appropriate shape.

Salt and pepper the prepared potatoes, place on a baking sheet and drizzle well with oil. Bake potato "mushrooms" for 40-50 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees. Bon appetit!

3. Salad with beans and corn

And this delicious salad with beans and corn will decorate your table.

Ingredients:

lean mayonnaise - 3 tbsp. l., colored beans - 300 g, canned corn - 200 g, boiled carrots - 1-2 pcs., red onion - 1 pc., pickled pepper - 80 g, salt - to taste green onion - to taste

Prepare the necessary ingredients: boil the beans and peeled carrots, let cool, finely chop the vegetables. Place all the ingredients of the salad in a deep bowl, salt (add spices to taste) and season with mayonnaise. Now mix the salad well and serve. It turns out a very impressive and bright dish!

By the way, mayonnaise for such a salad is very easy to make from white beans.

Ingredients:

white beans (canned) - 1 can, vegetable oil - 4 tbsp. l., salt - to taste, mustard - 1 tsp, lemon juice - 2-3 tbsp. l.

Separate the beans from the liquid and place in a suitable container along with the rest of the ingredients. Mix everything thoroughly with an immersion blender. The mass will turn out to be thick, so add the liquid in which the beans were located (aquafaba) to it in parts while stirring, achieving the desired consistency.

This sauce is perfect for any salad, and not just lean. Grab the recipe!

4. Lean dumplings

And such mayonnaise will perfectly complement the dumplings loved by many from lean dough with cabbage or fish stuffing (if allowed).

Ingredients:

flour - 250-300 g, water - 200 ml, sunflower oil - 2 tbsp. l., salt - to taste, minced fish or stewed cabbage - 600-800 g

To prepare a lean dough, sift flour into a deep bowl, pour in hot water, add a pinch of salt and sunflower oil, knead a dense dough.

Give him a little "rest", and this time prepare the filling. Form dumplings in a convenient way and place on a board sprinkled with flour.

Place the products in the freezer (if you cook in advance) or boil immediately in plenty of boiling salted water.

5. Lean chocolate sausage

And, of course, you can not do without dessert. Familiar to everyone and loved since childhood, the delicacy "Chocolate Sausage" is quite realistic to make lean.

You will need the following:

lean gingerbread or cookies - 400 g, coconut oil (or peanut butter) - 100 g, vegetable milk or water - 0.5 tbsp. sugar - 3/4 tbsp., cocoa powder - 2 tbsp. l.

Melt butter in a small saucepan or ladle, add milk (water), sugar and cocoa powder. Mix thoroughly and heat the mixture until the sugar dissolves.

Grind gingerbread (cookies) in a convenient way, place in a bowl and pour in the liquid mixture, mix well.

Form several sausages from the resulting mass and wrap them with cling film. Place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to set (can be overnight).

And, as an option, this dessert can be prepared with melted chocolate, adding it instead of butter and cocoa powder. You will need 2 chocolate bars without dairy components.

And after the “sausage has hardened”, all that remains is to cut it into pieces and find a worthy place on the festive table.

Even if you do not limit yourself to the use of animal products, try to cook New Year's treats according to these recipes. They will definitely please you and help create a festive mood, no matter what!
