6. Chocolate cake with mashed potatoes

Cake base ingredients:

1 3/4 cups flour; 1 1/2 tsp soda (extinguish with lemon juice); 1/2 tsp salt; 1/2 1 1/2 cup sugar; 110 g butter at room temperature; 2 eggs at room temperature; 1 cup low-fat cream; 1 tsp vanillin; 3/4 cup warm mashed potatoes; 100 g melted and slightly chilled baking chocolate.

Cream:

100 g butter at room temperature; 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar; 50 g of melted and chilled chocolate; 2 tbsp cream or milk.

For decoration, cherry or confectionery topping is perfect.

Let's prepare the dough first.

Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees. Grease and flour a baking dish. In a large bowl, beat butter with sugar until white. Add eggs, cream, vanilla and beat again. Then pour in the chocolate and add the mashed potatoes. Mix with a spatula until smooth. It remains to add flour, soda and vanilla, and mix well again. 

Put the dough into the form. Bake 30-45 minutes until dry match or toothpick.

For cream, beat butter with powdered sugar, then add chocolate and cream, mix until smooth. Pour the finished chilled cake with potatoes. Decorate. Enjoy!

7. Potato truffles with chocolate

 

To prepare a luxurious dessert, you will need yesterday's puree, chocolate chips and 10 minutes of your time!

Ingredients for Potato Truffles:

1/2 cup cooled mashed potatoes 1 cup chocolate chips (grated chocolate or so-called chips); 1/2 tsp vanillin; 1/2 cup any topping (cocoa powder, chopped nuts, powdered sugar, or confectionery sprinkles)

Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Stir frequently until completely melted. Remove from heat and add mashed potatoes and vanilla. Stir until you can do this; such a cool mass will turn out. Then send it to the refrigerator for 30 minutes. After half an hour, roll the balls out of the cooled dough (take a tablespoon of the potato-chocolate mass and roll it out in your hands). Roll each ball in your chosen topping. Place the truffles on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate. Store these sweets in the refrigerator for a week.
