In this article we are going to talk about antibiotics – we are going to discuss their healing role, but also how they harm us.

Antibiotics should not be taken every time you catch a cold

Do you have high body temperature? It happens when our immunity has dropped and some virus or bacteria has attacked us. Do not hurry with taking drugs. The rise in body temperature is an attempt by the body to cope with the infection. It is known that with temperatures above 38 degrees, all microorganisms and bacteria die. So this body reaction does not happen by accident. Do not suppress the temperature with medication if it has not increased to over 38.5 degrees Celsius.

Antibiotic should be taken if the temperature is very high

If you cannot lower your temperature for more than a week, then your doctor may prescribe a specific antibiotic. The drug should be taken if you have high and persistent temperature of more than 38.5 degrees. The treatment shouldn’t go through antibiotics every time, so do not try to cure yourself without the opinion of specialist!

Different antibiotics have different effects

This is the reason why you should never start antibiotic treatment at your own risk. Its intake should always be combined with probiotics and prebiotics. You should also use it according to a schedule determined by the treating physician.

Antibiotics kill bacteria, but they violates the gut flora

The good intestinal flora contains millions of "bad" bacteria, which, if they existed alone, would cause us constant gas and ailments. They do not do that because the so-called "useful" bacteria neutralize them. "Good" bacteria can be obtained through food - most commonly from yogurt and fruits.

When we take antibiotics, we kill all the bacteria. Unfortunately, there is no filtration. This means that there is a high chance of imbalance in the intestinal flora. This is why we use probiotics which contain millions of "beneficial" bacteria.

Drink plenty of fluids when you have high temperature

Before you take antibiotics, do your best not to use them. Drink fluids frequently in small doses. For example, take 200 milliliters every hour. You can also include smoothies, juices or mineral water. In this case, mineral water is the best choice because of its high mineral content. Combine it with spring water at a ratio of 70 to 30 during your treatment. Do not allow dehydration.

Boost the immune system with natural products

There are a number of foods that can help strengthen your body before we resort to pharmaceutical antibiotics. Antibiotics, by themselves, are antioxidants. The antioxidant counteracts the assimilation of the nutrients found in the body.
