Fatal outcome of the disease is more common among people who consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day.

Previous studies in this regard have found that alcohol affects estrogen levels in women, which can cause tumors in the area ofchest .
The research team analyzed the health data of 220,000 people since 2009. The volunteers were diagnosed with cancer of the oral cavity and pharynx, larynx, esophagus, liver, colon, rectum and breast.
Of all cancers, breast cancer is most commonly linked to alcohol consumption among volunteers, the researchers explained. Alcohol use increases the risk of death in this type of cancer by 15%.
Among men, alcohol consumption is the most common cause of cancer of the mouth, pharynx, larynx and esophagus.
Researchers hope the study will provide greater awareness of prevention cancer and alcohol should be considered as one of its possible causes, along with tobacco, stress, genetically modified products, etc.
