Diets, foods high in sugar, fat, cholesterol, salt, low physical activity, work from home or office ... All this contributes to irregular heartbeat or in other words - arrhythmia develops rapidly . The causes of the disease can also include conflicts at home and with colleagues, quarrels in public transport, smoking and alcohol abuse. And the foundation, once laid, is quite sufficient for the development of the disease.

How should we eat if we suffer from arrhythmia

We start with some nutrition tips in case you have an arrhythmia.

  • If you are not going to eat, do not sit at the table at all.
  • Do not eat if you are over-excited or in a bad mood.
  • Do not eat immediately after a cold or overheating.
  • Before consuming a product, think about its benefits.
  • During meals, do not be distracted by talking or watching TV.
  • Chew food well.
  • Reduce fluid intake by half.
  • Stop eating the moment you want to eat some more.
  • Do not eat too cold or too hot dishes.
  • Eat 3-4 times a day.
  • Plant products should be 50-60% of your menu, carbohydrates up to 20-25%, and protein - 15-30%.

 

Useful foods for arrhythmia:

  • pear - has an invigorating and refreshing effect, is able to reduce stress, improve mood, has a beneficial effect on digestion, normalizes heart rate;
  • plum - lowers blood cholesterol, strengthens blood vessel walls;
  • raspberry - a wonderful tool for strengthening the walls of blood vessels, lowers blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Raspberries contain organic acids, tannins, pectin, vitamins B2, C, PP, B1, carotene, iodine, potassium, folic acid, magnesium, sodium, iron and phosphorus.
  • red pepper and tomato - have a beneficial effect on the walls of blood vessels and normalize the functions of the cardiovascular system;
  • rosemary - helps to increase blood pressure and strengthens blood vessels;
  • all types of blackcurrants - they contain vitamins B1, PP, D, K, C, E, B6, B2 and oxycoumarins (substances that reduce blood clotting, are effective as a prophylaxis against thrombosis and as a means of lowering blood pressure , improving hematopoietic processes and toning the work of the heart;
  • apricots - improve the activity of the cardiovascular system;
  • cucumber seeds - remove cholesterol and perfectly clean the walls of blood vessels from the inside;
  • watermelon and melon - remove excess cholesterol;
  • beetroot - an excellent vasodilator, effectively lowers blood pressure;
  • turnips - has a calming effect on rapid heartbeat;
  • parsley - a diuretic needed for arrhythmia;
  • grapes - removes shortness of breath and swelling, improves heart rate and heart muscle tone, purifies the blood;
  • corn - reduces cholesterol deposits;
  • apples - thanks to the presence of plant cellulose and vitamins in their composition, apples reduce the risk of tumors and heart disease, contribute to weight loss, reduce swelling, improve digestion and normalize blood pressure.
  • Avocado - contains a complex of vitamins E, B6, C, B2 and minerals, copper, iron and enzymes that prevent the development of arrhythmia and help absorb the nutrients needed for heart function.
  • cabbage and potatoes - are sources of potassium, normalize the functions of the heart muscle;
  • grapefruit - rich in glycosides, vitamins C, D, B1 and P and plant cellulose, regulating physiological processes in the body, also improve heart function and normalize digestion;
  • pomegranate - helps lower cholesterol, thins the blood;

 

  • linseed oil - very necessary for arrhythmia, rich in monounsaturated fats, preventing clogging of blood vessels;
  • cereals - are rich in fast-dissolving cellulose, which impedes the absorption of cholesterol;
  • lentils and red beans - they contain vegetable cellulose and potassium, strengthening the heart;
  • pumpkin - contains beta-carotene, vitamin C and potassium, normalizing water-salt balance and lowering blood pressure;
  • garlic - contains sulfur compounds and nitric oxide;
  • broccoli - rich in vitamins C, B and D, potassium, magnesium, iron, cellulose, phosphorus and manganese;
  • fish - a natural source of omega-3 acids;
  • wheat germ oil - contains oleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid and linoleic acid.

Harmful food products in arrhythmia:

  • fatty meat;
  • bacon;
  • cream;
  • eggs;
  • strong tea;
  • coffee;
  • spicy and salty spices;
  • plain chocolate (due to the large amount of sugar and calories that are a prerequisite for weight gain);
  • products containing preservatives and other harmful substances;
  • fresh or artificial products;
  • fried and smoked foods.
