It is a versatile vegetable, which is also cheap and does not require special storage conditions.

The most "difficult" thing in cooking beets is to boil them. Yes, long. But grandmothers sell boiled beets in the market, and progress has given us multicookers-pressure cookers. So, we take boiled beets, clean them. Then, with a vegetable peeler, we cut it into transparent slices, put it on a huge plate with an overlap, crumble salted cheese (brynza, feta) or granular cottage cheese, sprinkle with a mixture of lemon juice and butter (it is possible without it), salt, pepper. You should know that it is better for beginners to drink beetroot juice in small portions and in mixtures (with celery, cucumber or carrot juice). It is an active body cleanser, so zealous that it can even turn your head. Do not forget about the high sugar content (a beacon for diabetics) in raw beets, perhaps it is better for you to use this root boiled, baked or stewed. In addition, beets remain useful even after heat treatment.
Beetroot extract is used in the manufacture of cosmetics - for moisturizing and conditioning the skin. Beets are labeled as Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root Extract on bottles. You can also prepare a cleansing face mask at home. Mix half a glass of natural yogurt with three tablespoons of beet pulp (three on a fine grater) and apply on the face. Wash off after 10 minutes and apply cream. Shine!
