Citrus Against Obesity

Flavonoid contained in citrus fruits stops weight gain and normalizes metabolic disorders in the body.

Canadian scientists from the University of Ontario extract the flavonoid naringenin from citrus fruits, thanks to which it stops gaining weight and normalizes metabolic disorders in the body.

In the laboratory, they came to an analysis in which the positive effect of the flavonoid was proven to correct existing disorders in metabolic processes in the body. As a result of its intake, the liver began to burn the fat ingested with food instead of storing it.

The positive result was observed regardless of the amount of calories consumed. Naringenin does not act as an appetite suppressant or stimulant, like other substances taken in metabolic disorders.

Scientists hope that thanks to the citrus flavonoid it will be possible to treat not only obesity, but also metabolic problems that cause diabetes, cardiovascular and other diseases.
