Coffee is the drink that many rely on to cheer up in the morning and not only then, and some do not even enjoy its taste and aroma. The purpose of consuming this drink is to keep our eyes open and increase energy levels . 
 
According to a new study, drinking coffee in the morning does not bring any benefits in terms of encouragement. It was conducted by a team of experts from the American Sleep Research Association and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. 
 
The researchers explained that after three nights in which study participants did not sleep, caffeine had "very little or no effect." 
 
This is bad news for those who sleep 3-4 hours every night and rely on coffee in the morning to help them "function" adequately throughout the day. Probably many of us know someone who can't even talk until he has his morning cup of coffee. 
 
 
During the study, the researchers tested the effect of coffee by limiting participants' sleep to 5 hours for five consecutive days. Compared to those taking placebo, experts found that caffeine helped provide an energy boost only for the first two days. In the other three it has no effect. 
 
Previous studies have shown that moderate coffee consumption may reduce the risk of developing mild cognitive impairment . Despite the benefits that researchers have found from consuming this drink, they also point out that in excessive amounts it can be harmful. This includes increasing the risk of cognitive impairment.
