In this article, learn more about Combining Foods - Why Not Mix Fish And Milk?. Combining canned milk and fish in one meal is dangerous and is denied..
The right combination of foods that we consume in one meal is very important for the full absorption of their useful ingredients, without the risk of discomfort and heaviness in the stomach after eating. In some cases, however, combining foods requires avoiding certain products after consuming others, because the consequences can be very serious.
Never mix canned milk and fish in one meal. This is a basic principle in healthy eating, not because the combination is not useful, but because it can be life-threatening. And although cases of dangerous food poisoning after such food combinations are very rare, the warning will always be relevant.
Fresh and yogurt are among the most protein-rich foods. The same goes for fish in any form. A basic rule regarding healthy eating is not to consume two plants or two animal sources of protein at the same time. In the case of combining milk and fish, this is exactly what will happen, and the result will be a slow metabolism and a mutual negative impact on the absorption of both foods.
However, when combining yogurt or fresh milk with canned fish, the danger is greater. If the can is not produced in a sterile environment, there is a risk that the fish in it will be infected by dangerous botulinum bacteria, which grow freely in an oxygen-free environment. The more ingredients they can contain, the higher the risk of introducing spores of dangerous bacteria with any of them and over time the can can be enriched with botulinum toxin. When consumed at the same time as milk, botulinum bacteria have a dangerous reaction with milk protein and can lead to serious poisoning and intoxication. The recommendation also applies in cases where canned fish is consumed with milk sauces.
In modern conditions of pure production, the risk of such dangerous reactions is very low. However, even so, preventive care is always needed. The same advice applies to combining milk with other canned products. Even if there are no fish in it, the likelihood of botulinum bacteria being imported remains, as does the danger of a reaction with dairy products.
Therefore, the consumption of milk and canned products should take place only after a certain period of time in order to allow the removal of one product from the body before consuming the other and there is no possibility of reaction between them.
