The desire to eat something sweet can be very strong, sometimes even insurmountable
Sweet foods are one of the biggest temptations for little ones. We all know that refined sugars are not very good for our health, but giving them up is not easy. Consumption of too many sweets is associated with a risk of a number of diseases such as obesity, diabetes and heart disease. Foods high in sugar lower your tone, energy and make you feel tired.
Here are some tips to help you reduce your consumption of sweet temptations.
Set clear boundaries for what is good and what is not so good for your health. As an adult, you must distinguish between the desires of your stomach and that of reason. When you feel hungry and want something sweet, choose some fruit or freshly squeezed fruit juice instead of unhealthy waffles and desserts.
Do not stay hungry for a long time , because it is very likely that you will end up satisfying your hunger with some sugar treat. Eat small portions more often during the day. This way, you will not give your blood sugar a chance to drop to levels when you are asked to eat something sweet.
Eat lots of fruit . The desire for something sweet can appear at any time of the day, and sometimes it can become irresistible. In these cases, you can choose sweet fruits such as dates, bananas, raspberries, strawberries, cherries, etc., which will also satisfy your desire to eat something sweet. Fruits are a source of natural sugars, which are a much better option than refined sugars in finished products.
Take more walks . When you really want to eat sweets, just go out for a long walk. Ask a friend to come with you, so you will forget about your desire for something sweet and you will move your body.
Eat more protein . Protein intake also determines your craving for sweet foods. To kill this passion for sweets, make yourself a high-protein breakfast. A high-protein breakfast will make you feel fed for longer. This way you will consume far less sugar during the day.
