Diet №3 is used in chronic intestinal diseases accompanied by hypomotor dyskinesia of the intestine (persistent constipation). Its purpose is to restore the disturbed functions of the stomach, to stimulate the processes of regeneration of the mucous membrane, to restore the disturbed metabolism.
The diet is physiologically complete with a normal content of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, 30% of which are vegetable oil. The presence of vitamins and minerals meets the needs of the body. The diet includes dishes rich in vegetable cellulose, but non-irritating to the lining of the gastrointestinal tract. Products with a high content of essential oils and cholesterol are excluded.
Foods are usually steamed or boiled in water. Fruits and vegetables are allowed raw, cooked or baked. It is recommended to consume fruits (including berries) and vegetables that stimulate the intestines, do not increase fermentation and do not irritate the intestinal mucosa.

- rye and wheat flour bread, bran, freshly baked;
- soups of lightly defatted meat and fish broths, of vegetable decoctions, mainly vegetables with barley porridge or soup;
- meat, poultry, fish - lean, cooked, baked;
- cereals prepared in the form of porridges and casseroles (buckwheat, millet, wheat, barley;
- vegetables - beets, carrots, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, zucchini, squash - raw or cooked as a side dish;
- appetizers - salads of fresh vegetables, vinaigrette with oil;
- fruits (and forest) - fresh, ripe, sweet fruits (and forest) - raw or in dishes;
- soaked dried fruits (dried apricots and prunes);
- drinks - tea, coffee substitutes;
- sauces - based on meat or fish broths, milk sauce; spicy, fatty sauces, horseradish, mustard, pepper are excluded.
