Dry Breakfasts: How Else Can Cereal Be Used?

Breakfast cereals are made from cereals, often with added nuts, sugar, dried fruit, and cocoa.

Introducing recipes that reveal a new side to breakfast cereal.

 

Cake "Potato" from cereal flakes

200 g cereal, 1 can of condensed milk, 100 g coconut flakes, 150 g butter.

Grind the flakes into crumbs with a blender, add the butter cut into pieces to them. Grind them together until a dryish dough is obtained, pour in the condensed milk and mix thoroughly. Blind balls, no larger than a walnut, roll them in shavings and place in the refrigerator for 3 hours.

It will be tastier if the chips are also preliminarily passed through a blender, and a nut is inserted inside the balls. But walnuts should first be fried in a dry frying pan, otherwise they may taste bitter.

Muesle bars

 

100 g cereal, 1 banana, 1 apple, 50 g dried cranberries, 50 g nuts, 60 g sugar, water.

Crush the banana into a puree. Remove the core from the apple, peel it from the skin and grind it in a blender. Mix fruits and cereals, add berries and nuts (grind large). Distribute the resulting mass on a baking sheet, before covering the surface with baking paper. The height of future bars should not exceed 1 cm. You can pre-mark the future contours of each of them with a knife or the tip of a spoon.

Bake for 15-20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. While the cookies are baking, make the frosting for them. To do this, pour sugar 4 tbsp. water and boil over low heat.

When the mass hardens and acquires a light golden hue, remove the baking sheet, divide the layer into separate bars, brush them with caramel with a brush.

Cereal Chicken

 

400 g chicken fillet, 50 g flour, 2 eggs, 50 g corn flakes, salt, paprika.

Beat the egg a little with a whisk, add flour, paprika, salt and ground flakes to them. Roll the fillet in the resulting mixture and fry in a pan.

Pears with cereal

60 g cereal, 4 pears, 5 g cinnamon, 5 g vanilla, 40 g butter, 30 g honey.

Pears will need firm, dense, without spots and damage. They need to be washed, cut in half, remove the core, and put 10 g of butter in its place, sprinkle with vanilla and cinnamon. Then send the fruit to a preheated oven on a baking sheet covered with foil or placed in muffin tins. Bake for 10 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees, at this time, if the honey is sugared, melt it to a liquid state, and stir in the flakes to it. Place the mixture on almost ready pears and send for another 5 minutes in the oven. Let cool and you can serve.

Puff salad with flakes

 

200 g of boiled poultry meat, 100 g of cereal, 100 ml of homemade mayonnaise or cheese sauce, 250 g of cabbage, 3 cucumbers, 2 tomatoes.

Chop the cabbage, salt, mash with your hands and leave for 5 minutes. Cut cucumbers into strips, meat into slices, tomatoes into circles. Then lay out the ingredients in layers: the first - cereal, then in turn - meat, sauce, cucumbers, cabbage, sauce, tomatoes.

Cereal Cupcake

 

100 g flour, 200 g cereal, 3 eggs, 150 g butter, 100 ml sour cream, 80 g sugar, 10 g baking powder, 5 g vanilla and cinnamon.

Beat soft butter with a mixer with sugar, gradually introduce one egg at a time. Pour in sour cream, add vanilla, cinnamon, flour, mix. Lastly, fold the cereal into the already thick dough. Leave in a warm place for 5 minutes. Lubricate the cake mold with butter, pour in the dough and bake for half an hour in a well-heated oven (at 180 degrees).

strawberry pudding

 

0.5 kg strawberries - fresh or frozen, 20 ml lemon juice, 95 g sugar, 4 egg yolks, 150 g cereal, 30 g butter.

Wash the strawberries, cut in half and place cut side up in a greased baking dish. Beat the yolks with sugar until a white viscous mass is obtained, add lemon juice and flakes. Pour the resulting mixture of berries. Send the form to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25 minutes.

Cupcake with chocolate balls

100 g flour, 80 g chocolate balls, 90 ml sour cream, 3 eggs, 5 g baking powder, 100 ml condensed milk.

Beat the eggs until white peaks form, add sour cream, flour, condensed milk and mix the ingredients with a mixer. Then add the balls and baking powder, mix the dough with a spoon. Cover the baking dish with baking paper, pour in the mass and send it to the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes. If the top starts to burn and the bottom of the cake is still raw, cover it with foil.

 

Smetannik with chocolate balls

200 g flour, 100 ml sour cream, 180 g chocolate balls, 3 eggs, 150 g sugar, 60 g butter, 5 g vanilla, 20 ml vegetable oil.

Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla. Add melted butter, sour cream, flour, baking powder and 2/3 balls, mix. Lubricate the form with vegetable oil, sprinkle with flour and pour the dough into it, put the remaining balls on top. Bake for about half an hour in the oven at 180 degrees.

Roasted candies with flakes

2 toffee bars, 200 g cereal, 100 g seeds, 100 g nuts, 100 ml milk, 5 g butter.

Roast nuts and seeds, cool, mix with cereal. In a bowl, steam the toffee and butter, pour in the milk. When the brew reaches homogeneity, quickly pour it to the previous workpiece, mix, spread out with a spoon in muffin molds, leave to harden for several hours.
