Easter: Savor With Pleasure!

What holiday is complete without a hearty meal? How not to deny yourself gastronomic pleasure and gain extra pounds?

What holiday is complete without a hearty meal? How not to deny yourself gastronomic pleasure and gain extra pounds?

If you're hoping to make it through the long holiday weekend without putting on a few extra kilos, you'll have to brace yourself on Easter Sunday. Remember, one small chocolate rabbit hides in itself the number of calories equivalent to an hour of exercise on the treadmill, and in order to "burn" these calories obtained by biting into the paska, you will have to sweat.

Paska, as a rule, is made sweet, baked on yeast, from flour of the highest grades, with a lot of butter and eggs. It is difficult to call the ingredients that make up paska dietary, and if you prepare dietary paska, then you cannot call the resulting bread paska. Therefore, be careful with the portions, enjoying the Easter Passover. Nutritionist Svitlana Fus advises to eat no more than 250 grams of paska per day, and at the same time to exclude other bread from the diet.

Unfortunately, even traditional Easter eggs are not much better than Easter bunnies - just three eggs contain more than 500 kilojoules (420 calories). And let's be honest, who can stop at three? The same can be said about pastries, sweets, hearty dishes of the main meal. How to refrain from attractive pleasure? How to control yourself when it comes to holiday food and sweets, especially if you have a sweet tooth.

Useful tips for Easter

Before the feast : before sitting down at the festive table, have a light snack. Hungry people should not go to the festive "self-bringing tablecloth" under any circumstances. Before the feast, you can eat fruit, drink yogurt, snack on oatmeal. Do not forget to drink a glass of water a few minutes before the meal (it can also be a cup of herbal tea, a glass of broth). The liquid you drink will fill your stomach and the feeling of hunger that occurs when you eat all kinds of food will not be so significant.

During the feast : the main rule you will have to follow is "one to two". What does it mean? It's simple - if you still decide to eat something high in calories, then every piece of such a delicacy should be "compensated" with healthy food. Eat a piece of meat, immediately add the same amount of healthy food, for example, baked vegetables. Using this method, you will be full faster, and you will not be able to eat a lot of "kilogram-accumulating" dishes.

Another tip - after a heavy meal, eat a slice of lemon. Citric acid will help to break down fats faster, and also promotes more intensive removal of waste products and toxins from the body.

"Negative" calories : products that carry so-called "negative" calories are those products that can reduce the damage caused to your figure by traditional dishes of any holiday table, including Easter. A number of such products include: cabbage, cauliflower, zucchini, carrots, celery, green beans, cucumbers, onions, garlic, seasonings (thyme, basil, rosemary, oregano, pepper, marjoram, etc.), hot pepper, and apples. lemons, oranges, grapefruits, kiwis.

All of the listed products are low-calorie, which means that you will absolutely not get any of your figure. By the way, it is recommended to start eating with these products. Choose them as a side dish for meat and fish dishes and try to have a snack or in between meals.

"Correct" drinks : if the menu of your festive table includes alcoholic drinks, it is better to give preference to dry wine. Why the blame? This drink is low-calorie, with reasonable consumption it speeds up the digestion process and improves metabolism.

Strong alcoholic drinks are not only more caloric, but also whet the appetite. In addition, having poured your eyes after a glass of another, you will most likely lose your initial vigilance, including regarding the amount of food consumed.

How to reduce the effect of "degrees": in order to reduce the effect of "degrees", you can use at least two ways. First, do not drink alcoholic beverages on an empty stomach. Before raising a glass, eat a piece of cheese, a piece of fruit or a couple of olives. Second, dilute alcoholic beverages with water. Alternate drinking strong drinks with non-alcoholic drinks (preferably water).

Easter is a major Christian holiday and a day that many associate with a lot of food. But this does not mean that people who are concerned about the problem of excess weight should starve themselves on this bright day. All you need is to properly and thoroughly prepare for the holiday, make sure that there will be tasty and healthy snacks on the festive table that will not negatively affect your weight loss process. It won't hurt to have a little willpower to restrain yourself from the temptation to overindulge in heavy, high-calorie food.
