Eat In Male Company To Lose Weight

Women who eat in male company prefer lower calorie food than those who eat alone or with friends ...

Psychologists from the Canadian research university McMaster have found that when eating in the company of a man, women choose foods with lower calories.

In other words, taste preferences for food depend on the gender of the person in whose company you eat.

The researchers observed the eating habits of students eating at the facilities of three major Canadian universities.
Nutritionists found that girls who ate in the company of men preferred lower-calorie foods than those who ate alone or with friends.

Women eating in a mixed company also report lower calorie foods than all women.

According to Dr. Young, the study's lead author, nutrition is a form of social communication. Knowing that men will be present at the table, girls are more likely to choose smaller portions, and healthier food. Canadian experts say that in this way women subconsciously attract the attention of the opposite sex and strive to look more attractive in the eyes of men.

In men, however, no such pattern and change in eating habits was found.
