Foods To Avoid After Vomiting

Once we have vomited, it is advisable to avoid consuming these foods as they can irritate the stomach.

Nausea and acidity they leave after vomiting is the problem that comes after the unpleasant event. In these cases, what we consume is especially important. What are the foods that are important to avoid to avoid nausea and excessive acidity?

Large amounts of water

We should not force ourselves to drink as much water as possible after vomiting. This can cause re- vomiting and leave the stomach bloated and heavy. It is recommended to drink a few sips of water after the unpleasant accident, instead of forcing yourself.

Raw vegetables or smoothies

Consumption of raw vegetables high in fiber can cause stomach irritation, as they are not easy to digest. The same goes for vegetable smoothies.

Tea or coffee

Caffeine can be considered banned after we vomit. It is best to avoid drinking tea and coffee until the end of the day, as they are known to cause acidity, which can lead to nausea.

Spicy foods

They bring chaos to the stomach, even if we consume them a few hours after vomiting. Spicy foods are not easy to digest and, like caffeine, increase stomach acidity, resulting in another unpleasant experience.

Salty and fatty foods

A few hours after we return the stomach contents, the feeling of hunger appears. French fries or other greasy foods probably look very tempting. However, we should not give in, as they can irritate the stomach. It is best to completely avoid eating salty and fried foods.
