Garlic has the potential to help regulate blood sugar. Studies show that eating garlic can lower blood glucose, so it is among the foods that do not raise sugar. This is due to sulfur compounds, which lower blood sugar and reduce the risk of diabetes . Garlic can also lower blood pressure, bad cholesterol and triglycerides in people with diabetes.
