The purpose of this diet is to provide the body with foods with a soft texture and moderate fiber content. It is often used as an alternative regimen by patients in the postoperative period or by people with gastrointestinal problems, as well as by those with weak teeth who can not undergo a more serious diet.

Foods that can be consumed during the period:

 

  • Milk and dairy products - all kinds of milk, shakes, natural instant snacks, cream cheese, soft cheese, cottage cheese.

 

  • Meat and meat substitutes - lean meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, peanut butter, tofu

 

  • Potatoes and foods containing starch - mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes, rice, pasta, noodles

 

  • Vegetables - tomatoes, avocados, mixed vegetables, without cucumbers, cauliflower, turnips, peppers and cabbage

 

  • Fruits - all fruit juices, apple puree, apricots, cherries, fruit smoothies, figs, peaches, pears, prunes, oranges, grapefruits, bananas, melons and grapes.

 

  • Bread and cereals - toast, cornbread, rusks, biscuits, pancakes, waffles, all kinds of products except whole grains, bran, barley, seeds, nuts or raisins.

 

  • Fats - butter, olive oil, mayonnaise, sour cream, creamy products

 

  • Drinks - all except alcohol
  • Soups - vegetable and cream soups

 

  • Desserts - fruit desserts, puddings, creams, biscuits, ice cream, cake
  • Sugar - honey, cocoa, chocolate, candy, jelly

 

Spices - salt and light spices, with the exception of spices such as chili, garlic, horseradish and others

 

Miscellaneous - not recommended for pickles, popcorn, nuts and coconut shavings

 

Daily menu for the five-day mode:

 

for breakfast

 

  • 1/2 teaspoon juice
  • 1 piece of rice cracker
  • 2 toasted slices
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • decaffeinated coffee with fresh milk 2% fat

 

for lunch

 

  • 1 cup tomato soup
  • 2 slices of toast
  • 2 slices of turkey meat
  • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon fruit juice
  • 1 cup fresh milk

 

for dinner

 

  • 1 roast beef steak
  • 1/2 cup boiled potatoes with parsley
  • 1/2 cup cooked vegetables
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 teaspoon yogurt
  • 1/2 cup fresh milk

 

The diet is suitable for children and adolescents, as it is balanced and does not deprive the body of necessary substances. Encourage children to eat more fruits and vegetables, try new flavors and show interest in them.
