Before going to bed, many try to feed their child to satiety, so that he sleeps sweeter and longer. And this will really incline the child to sleep, but this dream will not help to rest - the body will digest food instead of resting. And then what is better to feed the baby in the evening, so that it is satisfying, tasty, and healthy?
First of all, before dinner, analyze what the baby ate today. Take an interest in the kindergarten menu: usually the menu is posted on the bulletin board at the beginning of the week, take a picture and plan a weekly diet. Why do you need to know what your child ate during the day? This will help solve two important problems:
1. In the evening, you need to give the child those substances that he did not receive during the day. So, if the baby did not eat dairy products during the day or ate little of them, you can give him cottage cheese or porridge for dinner.
2. After analyzing the daily menu, you can understand that it is NOT worth giving - at least because the child has already eaten this product today. Let the child's menu be varied. If the baby ate oatmeal in the morning, you should not give it to him for dinner.
As already mentioned, a hearty dinner for "stuffing" the tummy is not at all useful - the baby will sleep, but it is unlikely to get enough sleep. If suddenly a child wakes up in the middle of the night and asks for food, it does not mean that he is really hungry. Often people, and even more so young children who still do not know how to understand their feelings, confuse hunger with thirst. If suddenly the baby jumped up in the middle of the night and demands food - let him first drink some water or a little low-fat kefir. It is better to feed older children with a fairly light dinner - as you know, dinner should be only about 20% of the daily diet. Don't push the kindergartner a plate of macaroni, three meatballs, a piece of bread and butter, and a bun.
As with adults, feeding babies right before bed is not a good idea. Loading the baby's digestive system at night is a bad idea.
When to feed a child so that the baby does not cry from hunger, and the kindergartener does not whine sweets?
In the case of babies, everything is individual - everything works for them at the level of reflexes, and they intuitively know when to eat - even in the middle of the night.
Older children should be fed the main dinner two to three hours before bedtime. Before going to bed, you can offer your child a glass of kefir or milk to calm the child and prolong the feeling of satiety.
In addition to the fact that the wrong dinner is a very heavy dinner, it is worth remembering a few rules and accustoming the child to them.
Avoid frequent evening snacks. Often parents bring a bun, candy to the garden, they will give cookies at home, then the child will see a banana ... As a result, you don’t want to eat dinner, but before going to bed the baby asks for food. Apple, juice, tea are good alternatives.
Remember one more thing! If the child is naughty, does not want to eat, does not go to the table - do not force feed him! If he wants to, he will eat what they give him. Often, after all, children refuse normal food in the hope that they will be given sweets and cookies.
Ideal dishes for dinner (any, not just children's) are considered to be cottage cheese and cottage cheese casseroles, omelettes, baked vegetables or stews, salads, fruits (especially bananas and apples) and baked fruits, sour-milk products of all options. Here are some easy but tasty and satisfying dinner recipes for kids.
You will need:
3 quail eggs or 1 chicken, carrots, 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil, a couple of cherry tomatoes, a few pieces of zucchini or a third of bell pepper.
We cut the carrots and other selected vegetables into small cubes, lightly fry them in oil. Cover with a lid and let stand for a couple of minutes. Very fast and tasty!
You will need:
200 g cauliflower, tomato, apple, cucumber, a couple of lettuce leaves, 2 tbsp. sour cream, salt (optional).
Cook the cauliflower divided into parts in water, cool it. We cut the tomato, apple and cucumber into small cubes, combine them with chopped lettuce leaves. Dress the salad with sour cream, mix and lay the cauliflower on top. A light dinner for the baby is ready!
You will need:
160 g wheat flour, 100 g cottage cheese, egg, 10 g sugar, 1/4 tsp. extinguish soda with lemon juice or vinegar, a spoonful of vegetable oil.
