In order to maintain our health and beauty, we need to eat the right healthy food. Nutritionists and doctors have long been sounding the alarm about how dangerous the modern food industry is. The latest technologies are trying to do everything to increase the shelf life, improve the taste of products, while adding various flavors and preservatives.

What food is considered healthy, and what is harmful to humans? Today on many sites you can find a detailed answer to this question. However, there are also such useful products that are often not recommended at all. We want to introduce you to them.

Dried fruits

At first glance, these are just dried fruits, how can they be harmful? Dried fruits are recommended as a good substitute for sweets, as well as in the form of a snack. However, not all so simple. Dried fruits may contain various sweeteners and preservatives. And they are also very light, so you can eat them too much. But the benefits of banana chips are doubtful, because they are deep-fried, like potato chips.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is now widely advertised as an extraordinary health product. After all, it serves as edible fat, and it can be heated to high temperatures. It is added to baking, fried on it. But coconut oil is 82% saturated fatty acids and therefore not healthy. It contains triglycerides, and they are able to reduce the level of total cholesterol, which can lead to a number of psychophysiological changes. This is very dangerous for health, there may be a failure in the hormonal system, as well as beriberi. Therefore, it should not be used much and often.

Yogurt

Yogurt is an incredibly healthy fermented milk product. But! This can be said about natural yogurt without additives. On the shelves of stores, we see a great variety of yogurts with the addition of all kinds of fillers, berries and fruits, as well as with sweeteners and powdered milk. And these yogurts are not useful at all. They do not restore the intestinal microflora, they do not help the body, but only supply our body with completely unnecessary sugar, stabilizers, dyes and flavors. When choosing your favorite yogurt once again, pay attention to this.

Eggs

In stores you can buy different eggs - chicken, ostrich, duck and quail. But still it is recommended to eat no more than two eggs per day. Because when abused, they can increase cholesterol levels.

Vegetarian cutlets

Vegetarian burger patties are very popular and there is a wide choice of them. They are not very high in calories and contain a small amount of fat. However, some firms, in order to give burgers a beautiful color and a pleasant taste, add all kinds of preservatives, dyes and harmful oils. Therefore, it is not worth abusing such cutlets.

Smoked salmon

Fresh salmon is very healthy and rich in vitamins, and you can eat it to your heart's content, but this cannot be said about smoked salmon. Its use should be limited. Because it contains a carcinogen (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), which can lead to the development of cancer.

Bottled fresh juices

We all know about the benefits of freshly squeezed juice, and that useful substances in it remain for a small amount of time. Despite the amazing benefits, such juices are high in calories and it is better to drink a glass or two a day.

Grilled meat

Meat contains a large amount of protein, it is an excellent source of B vitamins, iron and zinc. But to preserve valuable and useful substances, it is important how you prepare it. Stewing and boiling are the safest ways. And yet, for many, grilled meat is considered the most delicious.

Compared to frying, this method of cooking is healthier, however, in meat at higher temperatures, heterocyclic amines, acrylamide and benzopyrene are formed, which, when combined with smoke, settle on the frying food and can lead to the formation of cancer cells. Therefore, doctors recommend not to abuse grilled meat, eat it infrequently, no more than 150 g at a time.
