In the cold season, you want to get under the covers with a hot fragrant drink and sweets. Pick up a book, watch a movie or enjoy the falling snowflakes. Or you can prepare a thermos of hot chocolate and go for a walk - sledding down a hill, sculpting a snowman with a mandarin nose, treating yourself to thick and spicy chocolate in between.
In winter, you can pamper yourself or guests not only with cocoa or coffee. Brew orange-ginger or strawberry tea, very thick Italian chocolate, bring out frozen sea buckthorn! Add spices - chili, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom. Let bright colors and tastes surround and delight you even in such a monochrome season.
finger-length piece of ginger
2 glasses of water
2 glasses of orange juice
2 tbsp. spoons of honey and lemon juice
Pour water into a saucepan and add peeled and chopped ginger, bring to a boil and leave on a slow boil. Pour in orange and lemon juice, stir and turn off the stove. Add honey, stir and strain into cups.
200 g frozen strawberries
a glass of hot boiled water
2 tbsp. spoons of sugar and orange juice
zest of half a lemon
In a blender, scroll strawberries with sugar and zest. Add orange juice and hot water. Ready! By the way, you can use frozen strawberries mashed with sugar, then do not add additional sugar.
100-110 g dark chocolate
250 ml heavy cream (30 percent or more)
dried chili pepper
Warm up the cream, put in the pepper, cover and leave on the switched off stove for 15 minutes. Then again heat to a boil, discard the chili, if necessary, strain. Add chocolate and whisk well until frothy. Serve in espresso cups with small cookies. Instead of chili, you can use a cinnamon stick or clove buds; chocolate is prepared with these spices in the same way.
200 g frozen raspberries
2 tbsp. spoons of honey
2.5 cups boiling water
Rub raspberries with a blender, add honey. Pour in boiled hot water. Decorate with a sprig of mint.
4 tbsp. cocoa spoons
2 glasses of milk
sugar to taste
whipped cream
marshmallows or marshmallows
Mix cocoa with sugar. Pour the mixture into a small saucepan or cezve. In another saucepan, bring milk to a boil and pour into a mixture of cocoa and sugar. Mix well. Pour into a tall glass or cup, top with whipped cream and marshmallows.
150 grams of sea buckthorn
600 ml of your favorite black tea or hot boiled water
honey or sugar to taste
Peel the sea buckthorn, rinse and mash into a pulp. If you use frozen, then take 250-300 g. Puree can be slightly diluted with warm water. Put a couple of spoons of sea buckthorn gruel in a cup, add honey or sugar and fill it with tea or water.
This chocolate drink is called Cioccolata Densa and it really comes out super thick.
2 tbsp. cocoa spoons
4 tbsp. spoons of sugar
1 st. a spoonful of corn starch
350-400 ml milk
50 g dark chocolate
If desired, you can add a glass of brandy or cream liqueur, a pinch of ground chili or cinnamon.
In a saucepan, combine cocoa, sugar and starch, and spices if using. Add about 50 ml of milk and mix well. Put on a slow fire and continue stirring until thickened, then add another 50 ml of milk and cook again, stirring, until thickened. Thus enter all the milk and boil for a few minutes over low heat. You will get a drink that looks like the usual hot chocolate. Remove from heat, add chopped chocolate and whisk until chocolate is completely melted.
