Tartlets are small pastry baskets that can be filled with various fillings such as fruits, sauces, meats or vegetables. The molds themselves often have a neutral taste and only emphasize the main ingredients. In order to cook them quickly, you need to know a few simple recipes.
First you need to make these same baskets. Of course, there are ready-made tartlets for sale, but you can quickly cook them at home.
2 sheets of pita bread, 2 eggs, salt, paprika, dried herbs.
Beat eggs with salt, paprika and dried herbs. Cut the pita bread into squares, the width and length of each is about 10 cm. On one side, cover the squares with the egg mixture. Then on top of each other diagonally (so that all corners look out) they are folded with the processed side up and placed in a mold. Put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, bake for about 10 minutes, then turn off the heat and leave for the same amount in a warm oven.
200 g of cottage cheese, flour and butter, 1 egg.
Mix all ingredients until smooth. Spread the dough along the sides of the molds. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 180 degrees.
200 g butter, 300 g flour, 30 g sugar (can be replaced with salt, or do not add any spices), 1 egg.
Beat eggs with sugar/salt. Heat the butter slightly so that it is soft, cut into pieces and put in the flour. Knead them together with your hands, you should get a crumbly dough. Pour the egg mixture into it, knead, and then spread a thin layer along the walls of the molds.
Bake for no more than 10 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Sometimes tartlets are filled with peas or beans to keep the dough from rising.
100 g hard cheese, 1 egg, 100 g butter, 100 g flour, 10 g salt.
Melt the butter, grate the cheese, beat with the egg and salt, mix everything. Add flour to the mixture, knead the dough and keep in the refrigerator for half an hour. Place in molds and bake for 10 minutes at a temperature of 180-190 degrees.
Literally translated, a “tartlet” is a small open pie, so almost all the familiar toppings for large open pastries, if they can be reduced, are also applied to “baskets”. In extreme cases, in the absence of flour or time to prepare the dough base of this snack, you can simply cut out circles from thin slices of white bread, roll them out with a rolling pin, place them in molds, put the filling on top and bake. It is not necessary to combine sweet dough and the same dessert filling. In the classic version, tartlets are generally bland. But you can play with tastes, sometimes a sweet basket can emphasize the taste of a seafood or meat filling in a very original way. If metal cupcake molds are used to make tartlets, then they should first be lubricated with vegetable oil. So that the snack is not too dry, the composition of the filling must necessarily include sauce, and it is better to place a little on the bottom of the tartlet in advance, and already spread the filling on top. You should not immediately try to remove the tartlets from the mold, when they cool down, it will be easier to separate them. The finished puff pastry can simply be cut into circles and immediately used as ready-made “baskets”, that is, filled with food and baked.
There are not even hundreds of options for fillings for tartlets, there are definitely thousands of them. We offer to try more or less classic options, already tested by time and by many chefs, the preparation of which, moreover, will not take much time. The composition of the ingredients will be based on the calculation for 10-12 tartlets.
2 chicken fillets, 200 g oyster mushrooms or champignons, 65 ml mayonnaise, 1 onion, 2 eggs.
Boil the fillet in salted water. Throw the eggs into boiling water, hold for 7-8 minutes, remove and cool.
Mushrooms cut into small pieces, salt. Chop the onion. Fry them in vegetable oil.
Cut the meat as finely as possible. Chop the eggs into small cubes. Combine them with mushrooms, pour over with mayonnaise and knead. Next, place in tartlets and bake for 5 minutes at a temperature of 190 degrees.
200 g hard cheese, 2 eggs, 60-70 ml mayonnaise/cheese sauce, 5 tomatoes, 2 garlic cloves.
Cut tomatoes into slices or circles. Hard-boil eggs, peel and grate, like cheese. Mix them, salt, season with mayonnaise. Fill the prepared tartlets with the resulting mass, put a piece of tomato on top. You can decorate with sprigs of greenery. If desired, such tartlets can be baked in the oven - 8-10 minutes will be enough.
200 g smoked sausage, 60 ml mustard, 1 onion, 10 g sugar, 20 g dill.
For this version of the recipe, puff pastry tartlets are best suited. Put finely chopped sausage in them and put them in the oven for a quarter of an hour (at 180 degrees).
Next, fry the onion half rings in a dry frying pan, stirring constantly so that it is only slightly browned. Then add sugar and keep on fire until a crust appears. Finely chop the dill.
Place on 1 teaspoon of mustard on the prepared sausage tartlets, lay out several onion half rings and sprinkle with dill.
4 apples, 80 ml liquid honey, 60 g butter, 40 ml lemon juice, 5 g cinnamon.
Fresh, salty, and sweet baskets are suitable for such a filling. Curd dough tartlets will especially harmonize.
Peel apples, cut into small cubes, pour over lemon juice, sprinkle with cinnamon and mix. Put them in still raw tartlets, pour honey on top, also place a small piece of butter.
Bake for about a quarter of an hour at a temperature of 180 degrees.
100 g walnuts, 100 g sugar, 60 ml butter, 2 eggs, 5 g vanilla, 1 g salt.
Melt butter. Roast the nuts in a dry frying pan, chop or chop with a blender. Beat eggs until white peaks, add all other ingredients to them. Mix thoroughly. Fill raw shortbread dough tartlets with filling and bake for 10-15 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.
100 g crab sticks, 50 ml mayonnaise, 50 g cheese, 20 g fresh dill.
Grate cheese and crab sticks, mix with mayonnaise and herbs. Pour into prepared tartlets.
Let your holiday be bright, cheerful and unforgettable!
