How Many Types Of Sugar Are There And Which Is The Most Harmful?

Fructose is completely unnecessary for the human body, acts as a poison and damages the liver in a similar way to alcohol.

It is a well-known fact that excessive sugar consumption in everyday life leads to obesity, metabolic diseases and cardiovascular problems. But what exactly is sugar?

Sugar is a combination of three molecules. They are vital to the diet of animal organisms. But only two of them are important for human metabolism.

The three sugar molecules are called glucose , fructose and galactose . In foods, sugar can be made up of different combinations of the three molecules.

The combination of glucose and fructose is called sucrose or sucrose. Typical representatives of sucrose are table sugar, as well as that obtained from sugar beet (about 40% of world yield). This combination is put in coffees and teas.

Mixing glucose and galactose produces lactose or milk sugar. It is found in almost all dairy products.

Different foods contain different types of sugar with a specific ratio between sugar molecules. Each type of sugar molecule has a different effect on human metabolism.

Glucose , for example, is one of the most massive energy molecules on the planet, and almost every living cell uses this molecule as fuel. It is so important that if it is not taken with food, the body begins to produce it itself.

Fructose is the "sweet" sugar. High fructose corn syrup, agave, maple syrup and honey - all contain large amounts of fructose. It is the molecule that the body instinctively seeks in its food - its sweetness evokes feelings of satisfaction and pleasure in the brain to an extent that can become addictive .

Medical science reveals that there is no biochemical reaction in the human body that requires the presence of fructose. It is not only unnecessary, but even harmful to humans. Once in the body, fructose leads to cellular, metabolic and systemic damage and accelerated aging.

Fructose is metabolized by the liver in the same way that other dangerous human toxins, alcohol , are neutralized . This is one of the reasons why today's children suffer from diseases and syndromes, typically associated with alcohol, without drinking alcohol. Fructose is an unnecessary poison for the body, strict control over intake and can save many health problems for the body.
