Necessary products :
300 grams of flour

  • 1 teaspoon dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • olive oil

for the sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 medium garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • pinch of hot pepper flakes
  • 800 grams of canned chopped tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • salt to taste

for the stuffing:

  • 340 grams of hard cheese, cut into cubes
  • 340 grams of pepperoni, thinly sliced

Method of preparation :

In a large bowl, place the flour, yeast and salt. Stir with a wooden spoon to combine well, then add the water and start kneading. When you form a ball, let it stand for 10 minutes. Then transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it for 10 minutes until a smooth elastic dough is formed.

Transfer the dough to a bowl and cover with foil, then place a towel and wait for it to rise in the heat for about 2 hours.

Put 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a rectangular pan measuring 25 by 35 centimeters and transfer the dough. Spread the dough with your fingers as much as possible. You probably won't be able to reach the end of the tray, so let it sit in the tray for 30 minutes. Then spread your fingers again to reach the ends of the dish. Cover and set aside while you prepare the sauce.

Set the oven to 220 degrees.

Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a pan and heat. Add the garlic, olive oil, pepper flakes and cook, stirring, to release the aroma - about 30 seconds. Add the tomatoes, powdered spices and sugar. Simmer for 30 minutes, season with salt to taste.

Squeeze the pizza dough with your fingers to remove any air bubbles that have formed on the dough. Place half of the pepperoni directly on the dough. Sprinkle the cheese and the remaining peppers on top. Finally, put half of the sauce on the whole pizza, making strips of it with it (you will only need half of the sauce, save the rest for another pizza).

Transfer to the oven and bake until the edges of the pizza turn black and the cheese that appears next to the sauce starts to brown - about 12-15 minutes.

Run a metal spatula or knife along the edge of the tray to release the pizza. Carefully slide it onto a cutting board. Cut with a pizza knife and serve.
