Required products :
- 2/3 tea cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 3/4 tea cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup finely chopped apples
- walnuts for sprinkling
Method of preparation :
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees and cover a 20-cm square pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg and egg. Stir well.
- Add the flour and baking powder and mix again.
- Add the walnuts and apples and stir to distribute evenly.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and level its surface with the back of a spoon.
- Sprinkle with walnuts and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center of the cake.
- Allow the apple pie to cool completely, cut into 16 squares and serve with a smile.
