Required products :

  • 1 baguette, cut into slices, about 1 centimeter thick
  • 1/4 tea cup melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Italian spice
  • 2 tea cups grated ripe mozzarella
  • 3 teaspoons marinara sauce
  • salt and pepper

for the meatballs:

  • 500 grams of minced beef
  • 2 cloves garlic - finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 tea cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Make the meatballs, mix the eggs in a bowl with the minced meat, garlic, parsley and breadcrumbs. Season and shape into 30 round meatballs.

Heat a little oil (about 1 tablespoon) in a pan and fry them for about 5-6 minutes, then arrange them on kitchen paper to drain the fat.

Grease a rectangular pan with grease of your choice, or use kitchen spray.

Arrange the baguette slices next to each other in the tray.

Mix the melted butter with the garlic, the Italian spice and season with salt and pepper. Spread the resulting mixture on the slices and sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella, spread the marinara sauce on top and arrange the meatballs, finish with the remaining mozzarella.

Bake for about 12-15 minutes at 200 degrees.

Garnish with parsley before serving.
