How To Cook Bean And Brown Rice Casserole With Tomato Paste, Garlic And Oregano - Recipe

Required products :

  • 5 teaspoons old beans
  • 2 teaspoons brown rice
  • 1 sweet red pepper
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 onion
  • garlic to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • a pinch of thyme, salt and oregano
  • 1-2 tablespoons flour

 

Method of preparation :

Soak the beans for a few hours in water, which then drain and boil the beans until clean. Then drain the liquid again and allow the beans to cool.

Boil and cool the rice as well.

Finely chop the onion, garlic and sweet pepper, fry until soft (you can pour a little water).

Mash with a fork or grind with a blender beans. Mix it with rice and vegetables. Add the spices, flour and tomato paste. Mix the products well and transfer the mixture to a greased and floured pan. Flatten the layer and place the dish in the oven at 180 degrees.

After 40-50 minutes the casserole will be ready. It is delicious both hot and cold.
