Melt the butter, beat the eggs with the sugar.
Sift the flour with the vanilla and baking powder.
Pour boiling water over the poppy seeds for 20 minutes, drain the liquid with a sieve.
Add the eggs to the flour first, then the cottage cheese and finally the softened butter.
Knead a stiff dough, which is stored in the refrigerator for half an hour.
When you take it out, roll it out in a circle. Cut into equal triangles, smear them with honey and sprinkle with poppy seeds (do not put too much honey, because during baking it will spread).
Roll up the rolls, bake them for 15-20 minutes in the oven at 180-190 degrees (or until a golden brown crust appears on their surface).
Once the finished cakes have cooled, you can serve sprinkled with powdered sugar, pour icing over them.
