Required products :

  • 250 grams of cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 8 tablespoons flour
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 egg
  • black pepper (freshly ground)

 

Method of preparation :

Cut the cheese into thick pieces and place in the freezer for 15 minutes.

In a bowl, beat the egg together with the oregano and nutmeg, and pour the flour into a flat plate.

When you take the cheese out of the freezer, dip each piece in the egg mixture with the spices, then roll in the flour on all sides.

Fry in hot olive oil until a golden crust forms on the surface.

Squeeze the juice from the lemon and spray the appetizer with it. Sprinkle with ground black pepper and serve hot.
