How To Cook Cabbage Sauce In A Casserole With Smoked Bacon, Ribs And Minced Meat - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Cabbage rolls in a casserole with smoked bacon, ribs and minced meat". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 1-2 canned cabbages
  • 200 grams of smoked bacon
  • 400 grams of smoked pork ribs
  • 900 grams of minced meat / pork, beef or mixture /
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons rice
  • 2 tablespoons sweet red pepper
  • 4 bay leaves
  • salt and pepper

Method of preparation :

  • Separate the cabbage leaves one by one, being careful not to tear them.
  • Wash them under cold running water, then soak them again in cold water while you prepare the filling.
  • Meanwhile, saute the onions with 1 tablespoon of sweet red pepper and bacon in a pan over medium heat. Stir periodically.
  • After about 4-5 minutes, add the minced meat and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  • Stir and cook for another 3-4 minutes, then add the rice.
  • Stir well and remove the filling from the hob.
  • Drain the cabbage leaves and cover the bottom of the casserole with a few of them.
  • Arrange a few smoked ribs on them.
  • Wrap the sarma using 1-2 tablespoons of the filling, depending on their size.
  • Arrange a row of sarma on the ribs, place 2 bay leaves and a few smoked ribs.
  • Sprinkle with paprika and continue to arrange the casserole, following the same sequence until the products are exhausted.
  • Cover the sarma with a few cabbage leaves and fill the casserole with water.
  • Place the lid and cook at 180 degrees without preheating the oven for nearly 2 hours.
  • Serve them warm, garnished with smoked pork ribs and enjoy.

Note!

Arrange the cabbage leaves as tightly as possible in the casserole so that the leaves do not develop during cooking .
