Learn how to cook "Candied pumpkin pieces with orange juice and cinnamon". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

1 kg of pumpkin
500 grams of granulated sugar
2 cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1 orange (you can replace with 1 lemon and use half of the two citrus)
powdered sugar for sprinkling

Method of preparation :

Peel a squash, grate it and cut it into small pieces.

Boil sugar syrup: pour the sugar into a saucepan, pour 500 milliliters of water and bring the mixture to a boil. Cook for a few minutes until thickened.

Pour the sweet liquid over the pumpkin pieces and place the dish on the stove. Once the syrup boils, turn off. Wait for the pumpkin to cool and repeat the procedure. Thus, a total of 5-6 times: cooling, followed by boiling. The pieces should become translucent.

Add the cinnamon, cloves and citrus juice during the last cooking.

Then pour the pumpkin into a colander to drain the syrup. When this happens, arrange in a tray whose bottom you have covered with parchment and place the dish in the oven for about 40 minutes at 50 degrees.

Remove the sweet cubes and allow to dry at room temperature as needed.

Sprinkle the dry pieces with powdered sugar and you can now use as intended

Enjoy your meal!
