How To Cook Chicken Steaks In Lemon Sauce - Recipe

Required products :

  • 2 pieces of chicken breast / about 300 grams each /
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/4 tea cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 tea cup low-fat cream
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3-4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

For garnish :

  • pasta / or mashed potatoes /
  • fresh parsley, finely chopped

Method of preparation :

  • Cut the chicken breasts in half to make 4 steaks.
  • Sprinkle them on both sides with salt and pepper, then flour them and shake off the excess flour.
  • Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, shaking occasionally to mix.
  • Fry the chicken steaks on each side until golden and remove from the pan.
  • Reduce the heat and pour 1/4 cup of the chicken broth into the pan. When it starts to simmer, add the remaining broth and cream. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Return the chicken steaks to the pan and turn off the heat after about a minute.
  • Serve with a garnish of pasta or mashed potatoes and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  • Transfer the sauce to a small bowl or saucepan and serve separately.
