We present you a very tasty and quick recipe for chicken steaks, with a crispy crust, tender sauce and melting mozzarella. The dish combines well with both pasta and fresh salad.

Required products :

  • 2 pieces of chicken breast
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup fresh milk
  • 1 teaspoon breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 250 grams of fresh mozzarella
  • 1 large can of tomato sauce for pasta
  • 1/2 cup parmesan (grated)

Method of preparation :

Halve the chicken breasts in half to thin them, cut them completely to get 4 breasts.

Knock the steaks between two sheets of foil.

In a bowl, beat the milk and egg.

Mix the breadcrumbs with the spices. Bread the chicken first in the egg, then in the breadcrumbs and fry in olive oil in a medium heat pan. Fry on each side for 3-4 minutes until the meat acquires a crispy brown crust.

Cut the mozzarella into 8 round pieces.

Put half of the tomato sauce in a rectangular pan, arrange the steaks on it, pour the sauce again. Arrange the mozzarella on top - put 2 slices of mozzarella on each fillet.

Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and bake for 25-30 minutes in a preheated 180 degree oven.

When serving, sprinkle more Parmesan cheese if desired and a few parsley leaves. Serve with salad or pasta of your choice, and why not just with crispy bread.
