Necessary products:
5 eggs
about 450 grams of powdered sugar
230 grams of butter
210 grams of wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
fresh plums (quantity is optional)
Method of preparation:
Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Mix the powdered sugar with the yolks and beat until a thick white mass is formed. Then add the butter to it and beat again. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and baking powder and add it to the resulting mixture. Beat everything well with a mixer. Then, with a clean tip, beat the egg whites until an airy mass is obtained and add them to the other products. Mix well and the dough is ready.
Take a rectangular baking dish, grease it with a little oil, sprinkle with flour and pour the dough. Distribute it evenly and level the surface with a spoon or spatula.
Wash the plums, cut them into two parts, remove the stones and spread the halves on the dough (put as much as you want and at any density). You can remove the skin of the fruit in advance, if you prefer.
Bake the cake for 20 minutes at 175 degrees (check the readiness with a toothpick).
Once cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
You can use apricots instead of plums, it also turns out delicious.
