Required products :

  • 9 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large yolk
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 3/4 tea cups cherry jam
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Method of preparation :

 

  • Beat the butter and sugar with a mixer.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt and baking powder.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir with a wooden spoon until a butter dough is formed.
  • Separate 1/3 of the dough and form a roll with a diameter of about 5 centimeters. Wrap in plastic wrap.
  • Roll out the rest in a circle with a diameter of 20 cm and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate both parts for about an hour.
  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  • Allow the butter dough to stand at room temperature for 4-5 minutes and place the round part in a cupcake tin. Press well with your hands to spread evenly on the bottom and walls.
  • Cut the roll into slices about 0.5 cm thick.
  • Spread the cherry jam in the tartlets and cover it with the slices of dough.
  • Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
