Required products :

For the walnut base :

  • 2 1/2 teaspoons almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon coconut sugar
  • 1 cup walnuts, finely ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter at room temperature

About the topping :

  • 1/4 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 tablespoons almond milk
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tea cups walnuts, cut in bulk

Method of preparation :

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and lightly grease a pan with melted butter to an approximate size of 23/33 centimeters.
  • In a large bowl, mix the almond flour with the coconut sugar, ground walnuts and salt.
  • Add the butter and "rub" it with your fingers until oil crumbs form.
  • Pour them into the prepared form and press to the bottom with your palms.
  • Bake the walnut base for 20 minutes, then allow it to cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Heat the maple syrup, honey, sugar, butter and salt in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Boil the sauce for 1 minute and remove from the heat.
  • Add the vanilla extract and chopped walnuts and mix well.
  • Spread the topping on the cooled walnut base and bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Allow to cool on a wire rack for 1 hour, then cover and refrigerate for another 1 hour.
  • Cut the walnuts into blocks and serve.
