Required products :
- 3 tea cups whole milk
- 3 tablespoons crushed cinnamon sticks
- 230 grams of milk chocolate
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- a pinch of kosher salt
- 1/2 tea cup of espresso, freshly prepared
For garnish :
- whipped cream
- chocolate chips
Method of preparation :
- Heat the milk and cinnamon in a medium saucepan over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally and being careful not to boil the milk.
- Add the chocolate, sugar and salt and cook for another 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Strain it through a sieve into a large fireproof jug and discard the cinnamon.
- Add the freshly brewed coffee and mix thoroughly.
- Divide the hot chocolate into 4 cups, garnish with whipped cream and chocolate chips and serve.
