Necessary products:

 

  • 1 bunch fresh onions
  • 500 grams of lamb
  • half a bunch of fresh mint
  • salt, black and red pepper
  • 2 grated tomatoes
  • 250 grams of frozen peas or canned
  • 1 carrot, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 3-4 potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 50 milliliters of red or white wine
  • olive oil for frying
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • a pinch of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon savory

 

Method of preparation:

 

Pour salted water into a saucepan and cook the meat. Strain and set aside about two tea cups of the broth. In another pan, heat olive oil and fry finely chopped fresh onions. Add the meat and mint, pre-chopped.

Season with salt, pepper and paprika. Add peas, carrots, tomatoes, mashed potatoes and potatoes to the dish. Stir the dish, add the sugar, savory, pour the broth and wine.

Optionally season with 1-2 cloves of garlic. Reduce the heat and let the lamb simmer on low heat for 40-50 minutes. When ready, spread on a plate and serve warm.
