Required products :

  • 450-500 grams of boneless lamb
  • 1.5 teaspoons basmati rice
  • 2 onions
  • 2-3 tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon oil
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon unground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper or allspice
  • a few sprigs of dill

Method of preparation :

Onions and tomatoes cut into small cubes, lamb into small pieces.

Heat the oil in a suitable pan and fry the onion and meat in a medium heat until the latter changes color. Then pour 1/2 tea cup of hot water and stew until the meat is ready (let it simmer, do not boil actively).

Then add the tomatoes, stew for another 5 minutes and season with cumin, pepper and dill. Add salt and stir.

Wash the rice several times and pour it over the lamb. Pour 3 teaspoons of hot water, close the container tightly with a lid and cook the dish over low heat until the white beans absorb all the liquid. If necessary, add extra salt at the end of the heat treatment.

When you remove the pilaf from the stove, let it "rest" for 10 minutes, then stir and serve.

Enjoy your meal!
