Required products :

400 grams of plums
1 tablespoon oil
4 teaspoons sugar
2.5 teaspoons salt
2.5 teaspoons vinegar 9%
5 cloves
2 bay leaves

The indicated quantities are for filling one one-liter jar.

Method of preparation :

It is important to choose only healthy and rotten fruits, wash and dry them. Then use a toothpick to pierce them.
Put the cloves and bay leaves in the jar, plums on them and pour boiling water. After 5 minutes (no more, so as not to soften the fruit), transfer the water to a saucepan and place on the stove. Pour vinegar into it, add salt and sugar, bring to a boil.
When this happens, remove the pan from the heat and pour over the fruit. Five minutes later, return the marinade to the pan and bring to the boil again. Pour over the plums once more, adding the oil to the jar beforehand.
Close with a lid and turn the jar upside down.

Marinated plums are a suitable addition to meat and salads, it is also delicious to serve as an appetizer, adding crushed garlic to them. They taste like olives.

Enjoy your meal!
