Since the symbol of the coming 2019 is the pig, we offer you to welcome it in an original way, preparing a delicious and fun potato salad shaped like this animal.

To get an excellent result, get quality products.


You need :

  • 200 grams of cooked sausage
  • 150 grams of canned peas
  • 150 grams of cucumbers
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 grams of potatoes
  • 200 grams of mayonnaise (homemade is the best choice)
  • olives
  • parsley
  • left


Method of preparation and shaping :

Boil the potatoes (whole without peeling) and the eggs (hard). When cool, peel and cut into small cubes. Sausage (separate two circles to shape the piglet) and cucumber cut into cubes of the same size, drain the liquid from the peas.

Mix the prepared products in a large bowl and add salt to taste. Add the mayonnaise (but not the whole amount), stir and transfer the salad to the tray in which you will serve it.

Shape into a piglet's body and coat the surface with the remaining mayonnaise. Make eyes from olives, and make ears and zurla from sausage.

Decorate with parsley and a merry welcome to 2019!
