Required products :

  • 1 1/4 teaspoon oatmeal and coconut shavings
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 150 grams of butter
  • 1/4 tea cup golden syrup
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Method of preparation :

Mix the flour with the oatmeal and coconut shavings, add a pinch of salt.

Put the butter, sugar and golden syrup in a small saucepan and heat until the crystals melt. Remove from the heat and add the baking soda and 1 tablespoon of water. Stir and pour over the oatmeal.

From the resulting mixture take 1 teaspoon and make 24 balls, which are arranged in two trays lined with baking paper.

Press each ball with your fingers to make a cookie. Put the two pans in the oven and bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes until golden (180 degrees).

About the 6th minute, swap the trays in the oven and bake.

Cool completely, then serve or store in a tightly closed biscuit box.
