Necessary products

For the dough:

  • 200 grams of kefir or yogurt (you can use kefir, milk or just water)
  • 2.5 teaspoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and baking soda

For the stuffing:

  • one bunch of fresh parsley and dill
  • 250 grams of cheese

For spreading:

  • 100 grams of melted butter

Method of preparation :

Knead the dough, mixing the selected dairy product and flour, add half a teaspoon of baking soda and salt.

Finely chop the pre-washed parsley and dill, mix them with the shredded cheese.

Divide the dough into 6 equal parts and roll each out to a round base.

Put the cheese with the green spices in the middle and close the edges towards the center to cover the filling.

Roll out the resulting balls again, the diameter being the same as that of the pan you will use for the heat treatment (the thinner the layer, the better, the optimal thickness is about half a centimeter). Be careful that the filling does not break the dough anywhere.

Bake the pearls in a preheated pan (without fat). Small brown spots should form on both sides.

After removing one loaf from the pan, grease it with melted butter, wrap in aluminum foil or place in a pan with a lid while baking the next.

When they are all ready and wrapped in foil, cover them with a towel and leave for a while to become soft and melt in your mouth.
