Required products :

  • 2 1/2 tea cups self-swelling flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 55 grams of cold butter
  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • 1/3 tea cup tomato sauce
  • 120 grams of grated ham
  • canned pineapple
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Method of preparation :

In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Put the butter and rub it into the flour with your fingers to get crumbs. Pour the milk and knead it with a spatula.

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until you get a soft dough. Divide the dough into two parts and roll each into a rectangle measuring 15 by 30 cm.

Spread with tomato sauce and grate the ham all over the loaf. Finely chop the pineapple and spread it over the two rectangles. Sprinkle generously with cheddar.

If necessary, cut the end to align. Cut into pieces 2 cm wide.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the pickles. Bake them for 17-20 minutes in an oven preheated to 200 degrees.

Have a good time!
