How To Cook Pumpkin Strudel With Walnuts And Cinnamon - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Pumpkin strudel with walnuts and cinnamon". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 750 grams of pumpkin (1 medium-sized nutmeg or sweet pumpkin)
  • 2/3 tea cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter + 1/2 teaspoon to spread the crust (olive or other fat)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons walnuts (toasted or raw)
  • 12-14 sheets of peeled bark
  • 6 tablespoons sugar for sprinkling
  • powdered sugar and cinnamon powder for sprinkling

Method of preparation :

Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze the juice. In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter and cook until soft for 5-6 minutes grated pumpkin, along with 2/3 cup sugar and cinnamon.

 

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Crush the walnuts and roast them if desired.

Coat the top sheet of crust with melted butter (olive oil or other fat).

 

Distribute about 1/2 cup of pumpkin filling and 3-4 tablespoons of walnuts. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon if desired. Take the two upper leaves and roll them up.

 

Transfer to a pre-greased round baking tray. Repeat with the remaining crusts and filling in the same way.

 

Coat the arranged crusts with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden in a preheated oven. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, cut into pieces and serve.
