Making homemade ketchup allows you to use a variety of ingredients and make the sauce to your liking. This apple ketchup goes great with pork and curry. Serve as a sauce on a wholemeal sandwich with ham, cheddar and mayonnaise.
Necessary products for making apple ketchup with cinnamon:Peel and grind the garlic. Peel the apples and seeds, and pour six cups of water over the flesh and cook until soft. Wait for the liquid and fruit to cool, then pour into a blender and grind (along with the water). Pour the tomato puree over the apple mixture. Add the remaining water, sugar and salt. Puree again. Boil the resulting mixture for about an hour and a half. Season with cinnamon, garlic, cloves and vinegar for about 10 minutes before removing from the heat.

Bring to the boil, then reduce the temperature and simmer for 30-40 minutes or until the mixture begins to thicken. Pour the hot ketchup into jars, close with lids and cook for 15-20 minutes. Use up to 1 month after closing the jars.
Serve apple ketchup as a side dish to a meat dish with a portion of salad.
