Due to their pleasant aroma and sweet exotic taste, blueberries are used to prepare and decorate many desserts - pastries, cakes, cheesecakes, jam, jams and more.
Blueberry jam is one of the most preferred and popular desserts of small fruits, so we offer you several recipes that you can make at home, accompanied by useful tips for its preparation and storage. It is a wonderful addition to pancakes, ice cream or just eat it. You could make homemade diet blueberry jam with or without sugar (with honey) and quickly.
Mix the blueberries and honey in a saucepan and mix well. Heat over medium heat and when the mixture simmers, reduce the heat. Cover the pan with a lid and cook the jam for 4-5 minutes until the blueberries are cracked. Stir periodically.
Remove from the heat and mash or mash the fruit according to the desired consistency. Add the chia seeds, stir and return the pan to the hob. Cook the blueberry jam for another 10-13 minutes until thickened. Stir from time to time so that the seeds do not stick together.
Allow the jam to cool before transferring it to airtight glass jars. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Clean the blueberries (use only the uninjured ones), wash them under cold running water and drain through a colander.
Pour them into the container in which you will cook the jam. Mash lightly with a fork, large spoon or other suitable utensil (do not turn them into a mash).
Place the pan on the hob and stir constantly. Once the fruit begins to cook, reduce the temperature.
Next is the most important moment in the preparation of the jam - the addition of honey. Add a small spoonful of it to the blueberries, stirring constantly, so that it boils slowly and does not burn.
Once you have added all the honey, cook the fruit for another 10-15 minutes and then remove the pan from the heat. Pour the rum into the jam and mix well.
Distribute in pre-sterilized jars. Close immediately and turn them upside down until completely cooled. Store the finished jam in a dark and cool place.
Enjoy!
Clean and wash the blueberries, sprinkle them with sugar. The dish you are using should be deep and suitable for the microwave. Put the fruit bowl in the microwave on medium power for 10 minutes, stirring at least once during this time. Cool and serve.
