Required products :

500 grams of chicken fillet

450 grams of basmati rice

300 milliliters of water

1 onion

1 carrot

100 grams of prunes

1 head of garlic

10 grams of dried barberry

a pinch of turmeric

50 grams of melted butter

3 grams of ground black pepper

3 grams of salt

Method of preparation :

Wash the rice well and pour warm salted water over it. Peel an onion and chop it, fry it in 1 tablespoon of butter until transparent. Add carrots, cut into thin straws and stew until soft. Then add the spices, stir and leave on the fire for a few more minutes.

Pour the vegetables on the bottom of a suitable deep dish. Put 1 tablespoon of butter in a heated pan and fry the fillet until golden brown, having previously washed, dried and cut into small pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the meat over the vegetables, add the prunes, cut into straws. Drain as much water as is left in the rice and pour it over the chicken. Pour warm salted water over the products (be about 2 cm above them), put the garlic head on top. Place the dish in a hot oven and let the dish cook at 180 degrees for about 50 minutes. When done, remove the garlic and stir in the rice. You can now pour into a suitable plate and serve.
