How To Cook Roasted Sausages On A Canapé Of Vegetables - Recipe

Required products :

  • 500-700 grams of sausages / optional /
  • 750 grams of potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 red onions, cut into slices
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable broth
  • 3/4 tea glass of water / plus extra, if necessary /
  • fresh thyme for garnish / optional /

Method of preparation :

  • In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, carrots, onions, olive oil, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir well to flavor the vegetables.
  • Melt the butter in a pan and when it starts to foam, add the flour. Stir and add 1/2 of the vegetable broth. When the mixture is homogenous, add the water and the rest of the broth.
  • Arrange the vegetables in a pan, spread the sausages on top and pour the broth over them.
  • Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for about 20 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the oven, turn the sausages over and bake for another 20-25 minutes or until fully cooked.
  • Transfer the sauce to a jug and serve separately. If it is too thick, mix it with a little hot water and mix well to get a smooth consistency.
  • Garnish the sausages with fresh thyme and serve with roasted vegetables.
